| These following tips and strategies will help you increase you chances of winning the lottery! |

It is a fact that six consecutive numbers, such as 1-2-3-4-5-6, have never been drawn in any international or state lottery. It is highly unlikely therefore that it will happen in the future. |
| |
Avoid number multiples. Popular combinations that get heavy play are 5-10-15-20-25 and 7-14-21-28-35. They have very little statistical chance of winning. |
| |
Avoid picking all the same last digits. Many people like to play the same last digits such as 3-13-23-33-43, or all digits that end in six, or some other favorite number. Even four same last digits occur in less than one fifth, of one percent of all drawings! Winning sets of numbers with no more than one repeated last digit account for nearly 90 percent of all drawings. |
| |
Avoid low number combinations. The vast majority of players like to play numbers such as birth dates, anniversaries, their children's ages etc. Therefore, the most selected numbers are 1 to 31. Mega Millions for example, has 56 numbers. So, If you play the calendar numbers and do happen to win, you will be sharing your jackpot with dozens of other people using the same methods. By all means use your personal numbers, but include some high numbers to give yourself the opportunity to improve the size of your winnings. |

An interesting example of poor number selection odds concerns the fact that not all numbers will eventually become winners & little drawn numbers will win in due course. It isn't true. In the New York Lottery, the number 45 once went 100 draws without a win. |

Nothing can guarantee you a win, unless you buy a ticket for every possible combination of numbers. |

Check the total Sum of Your Number selection. A study of winning lottery numbers in games where 5 numbers are drawn, like Mega Millions, it has been established that approximately 70 percent of all jackpot numbers add up to a total sum of between 110 and 183. Check out your number selections to see if the total of their sum falls into this range. Numbers within this range account for over 70 percent of all jackpots won up to the present time. |
| |
Check your Odd:Even ratio. There is little chance that a jackpot of all odd or all even numbers will be drawn. It is more likely that there will be a balanced distribution of even and odd numbers. When choosing your numbers, consider the relative mix of odd to even numbers. The best mix is probably to have, two odd & four even, or four odd & two even, or three odd & three even. One of these three patterns will occur in 81 percent of the drawings. |
| |
Check Your High-Low Distribution. As with the Odd:Even ratio tip above, if the lotto requirement is for you to choose from 49 numbers, do not choose all numbers in the top half of the number range from 26-49. or all numbers in the bottom half of the range from 1-25. Choose your numbers randomly from both ranges. The best mix is probably to have, two high & four low, or four high & two low, or three high & three low. Winning number groups with these three patterns occur in 81 percent of all drawings. |
| |
Look at Past Winning Numbers. See which number groups of 10 have not been drawn very often. So for example, in the selection of: 7,16,22,48,53, there are no numbers in the 30's. Studying the frequency of number groups in winning lotteries can help to determine your selection. |
| |
Hot & Cold Numbers. Consider the recent performance of drawn numbers. Are individual numbers Hot or Cold? Are they being drawn frequently or have they not shown up lately? Knowing whether numbers are Hot or Cold shows if they are on a winning or losing streak at the present time. |
| |
Check the frequency that number combination appearances have been drawn (Example 44 and 32 in the same winning ticket). Knowing which numbers repeat often and which numbers appear with other numbers will be helpful in determining your number choices. |
| |
Avoid number combinations that have been drawn before. Many players like to bet the numbers that have won a previous prize, by doing so, they are almost guaranteed not to win. In mega Millions for example, with two drawings a week, a set of five numbers, plus the Gold mega Ball, the chance of being drawn is once every one & half million years. The odds of a winning selection coming up more than once is very remote. Selecting a combination of numbers that have never won before, should be part of your strategy. |
| |
Avoid pattern betting. Patterns of numbers marked in a row to make a straight line, either across the betting slip vertically or diagonally get played a lot, the outcome of this, should it win, would mean sharing the prize with many others. |

Lottery Syndicates. By playing with a group, you can afford to buy more lottery tickets and therefore get an opportunity for many more chances of winning than you could by yourself. Be sure to draw up a written agreement and have the syndicate members sign it. Select your partners carefully. |
